The WTI-100 mixed bed clarifying filters are specifically designed and manufactured high-speed pressure filters for the reduction of turbidity in surface and well waters, as well as for the separation of substances made filterable by preliminary treatments such as coagulation, clear-flocculation, and oxidation. The WTI-100 filters are suitable for treating water intended for human consumption, technological or process use. The characteristics of the filter media play a crucial role in defining important operational parameters such as removal efficiency, filtration cycle duration, pressure losses, backwash water consumption, and filter media lifespan. For this reason, the WTI-100 filters use a multilayer filter bed with differential grain size and density (quartz sand and anthracite), allowing optimization of the following operational parameters:

  • Increased filtration efficiency with consequent improvement in filtered water quality.
  • Reduction of operational pressure losses.
  • Decreased backwash water consumption.

The WTI-100 clarifying filters are available in STANDARD and LUNA models (both can be constructed with stainless steel or polypropylene pipes). The LUNA models have the advantage of a lower height for the same diameter, thanks to the integrated manhole with the pipe inlet. Each model and execution are available in manual (up to 1200 mm diameter) and automatic versions (with pneumatic valves).
